On Sunday, May 25, 2014 the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will host a special event in honor of missing children in Colorado as part of National Missing Children's Day at the Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park starting at noon.
With more than 500,000* children reported missing across the country last year and nearly 700** children reported missing in Colorado, the CBI is asking parents and caregivers to “Take 25” and talk with their kids about personal safety issues. While child abductions represent only a small portion of the missing children statistics, the "Take 25" resource remains an important tool for parents and caregivers.
